This place has great value for money katsu. With your meal, you get a buffet of unlimited sides, which are all delicious. I read you also get free refills on miso soup and rice, although I didnt try that myself. The only complaint I have is that the Katsu in my set meal was a little small. I think it is still totally worth it, especially for the sides.

I ordered the special loin cutlet set meal and the Kin no Tsuru set meal. Since I have a partner with me, we enjoy exchanging a little bit with each other, but I'm satisfied with the thickness of the loin cutlet! I went to Tonkatsu Kin no Tsuru Hashimoto branch for the first time in a while. Since it was dinner time, there were only a few empty spaces in the parking lot. Purchase meal tickets at the ticket vending machine (cash only) at the store entrance. The restaurant was almost full (the counter was empty, but there were 4 people so we had to wait), and there were people waiting for tables and take-out customers, so we managed to find a seat in the waiting area. After waiting for a while, you will be guided to a table, seated, handed over your meal ticket, and told the amount of rice (you can have as much rice and miso soup as you like). While I was waiting for the food to be cooked, I served a self-service side dish (free refills) on a plate. It's delicious, but you end up eating too much and the main pork cutlet becomes tough. The “Gokuset Meal” Hi-Po pork is delicious and I’m addicted to it. I think I'll try the teppanyaki steak next time. As you can imagine, I was full and took a deep breath before getting up from my seat. Definitely the best store with the best value for money. A set meal of 200g of extremely roasted pork cutlet is cheap and delicious at 1,300 yen, and the all-you-can-eat side dishes are also great. Compared to famous chains, the tonkatsu is overwhelmingly voluminous and fried just right. There are various side dishes, but I like stir-fried mustard greens. I'm humbled that I can't afford it at this price.
